Hi,

I have few questions regarding SEO that are very critical to me and i need a serious advice of some expert on it.

Question 1:

Whenever i search in Google for my company name, it shows my company's old description. I heard that Google picks descriptions from DMOZ so, i also updated my company's description there but no luck. How can i make Google show my company's updated description instead of older one?

Google doesn't use META Descriptions for much. It either pulls the information off the page or uses the DMOZ listing for the description.

Do you mean you submitted your description change to DMOZ 2 days ago?  It could take them between 1 week and 6 months to actually make the change if they agree it needs to be changed. Its a volunteer run directory so you will be lucky if its gets done in a few weeks. Once it is completed it will take a few days to show up in DMOZ and then some time before Google gets the updated database from DMOZ with is usually once a month.
